I got a quote for a leer 180cc canopy and it’s coming in around the same price as some of the overland options such as the alucab contour canopy. I think the leer looks a bit nicer but any thoughts in terms of durability, difference between the fibreglass and aluminium or quality between these options? Bed will mainly be used to store gear but occasionally for sleeping.

I know nothing about either tops. That said, the tri fold aluminum toppers flat surfaces get hail damage easily. Just something to consider if they’re made the same and you’re visiting states that get hail often. A tri fold to replace is not a huge deal, but a whole topper I could see being an insurance claim and you’d want to make sure they’ll cover it beforehand.

That's a good point. I have a Bakflip G2 that's an aluminum skin and it's gotten hail dimples from our Florida thunderstorms, but the truck itself hasn't gotten a scratch. It's only a tonneau so it didn't cause me grief, but if I had dropped the kind of money that a Leer costs I would have been upset.
