That's the only time I've ever kind of liked how a 5vz sounds is with a plain old thrush Turbo

Well post a video of it if nothing else it should be unique because of all the piping and distance plus the two spinning things

It's not too loud, but noticeable from a distance... not the loudest in the neighborhood at least

It's crazy how fast people can get jaded at a new company. Especially when the company projects one culture and than you see how they really are.

yup, luckily I'm not governed by the Wholesale department because if I was, I'd have left years ago. They don't abide by any employment law/regulations regarding breaks, lunches, hours and overtime...it's just "understood" that you're either OK with "how the fashion/clothing industry is" or you're not (hence why we've been sued so many times).

I have a reputation with them as someone who leaves at 5pm sharp every day no matter what, so my busiest parts of the day usually happen in the afternoon post-lunch when they realize I'm not gonna be here until 8pm every night like they are

It’s fun when the company gets bought and the New Managment comes in. Old timers have lots of perspective on that here. My current boss, who’s been through 3 acquisitions, is getting pretty fed up with the current situation.

yup, thankfully the CFO is my boss (wholesale is governed by the CEO) and they are two very, very different people

What worries me is that he is very close to retiring, if I get folded into the other department my days will be numbered lol.

That makes me glad we are owned by the city. The bureaucracy sux but at least things don't change every few years.

I don't think this company will ever get bought until the owner kicks the bucket, he's a straight workaholic even though he semi retired a few years ago and is in his 70s. Company has always been privately run by him and I think he'd rather see it burn to the ground than go public or run by anyone else lol.

That's kinda how mine is. We have a very odd structure but effectively there are 3 owners, with one with 51%. Two of them will never be able to let go, but one of them is trying to leave this year. They have expressed interest in wanting to transition the company to the employees after they move on, which is sort of pseudo-locking me in to this company until that decision is finalized. Very annoying to a point because whereas I love a lot about this company and job, there's greater opportunity for me elsewhere and I don't want to wait another 10 years to find out I waited for nothing.

I haven't watched this movie since I started working here 8 years ago, I think I need to rewatch it...will probably find a lot more humor in it now
