You been able to try out those Thunderers yet? I've been happy with them, they slid around like crazy in that mud I was in with @Kwikvette a few weeks ago but I don't think any AT would have handled that sticky mud very well

 

No, wally world has them but no time to install right now, they have a worker shortage. Might have to just pick them up and take them elsewhere. The install and recycling price through wally is hard to beat though

I had them on my old 98 and they were really good off road. The rear ones went bald in 5,000 miles, but that turned out to be cause of my bent rear axle housing lol

 

Spotted just now in town. Not everyday you see one of these. Just gorgeous.

sounds just like the time I wedged my Husky mat against the gas pedal on accident and started up the truck

 

Cold start redline with boost, that's a good way to speedrun a headgasket failure haha. The BMW would lower the redline to 4000rpm (8500rpm redline normally) when it wasn't up to temp yet because of that danger.

 

yeah luckily it was warmed up cause I drove around a good bit before going to the car wash, if it had been on a true cold start I'd have been a lot more worried

 

We need a sticky with all the common suspension options laid out, I think.

The proper way to warm up your vehicle on a cold winter morning.

The AMG flashes the oil temp at you to tell you to take it easy, but it won't limit you, you choose your destiny on that front. It basically has to be at 180*F oil temp for it to be ready to romp.

These trucks are so old, that the ones often talked about are the only options available.

No one has, or will be making anything new for these trucks.

 

No boost, the cylinder pressure is much lower, probably saves you some wear though if you listen to it

Same with tires, those are the people that want to be spoon fed.

 

5100s, stock springs, rear add a leaf, and 5100s, done cheap and you didn't have to use a block like some sort of poor person
