No dog in the fight, but I've seen the new Integra clip posted a bit lately.
They shoulda made it an awd coupe.

Today I learned that the city's 2x per
year bulk junk pickup for residents does not include old broken truck parts

Not much is going great but that new DoD position I got. My current federal agency is new-ish and their HR department won't release me, so I've been at the old job 3 extra weeks so far. I'd elaborate more but sometimes I worry about putting too much personally identifying info on here.

Hit some real lows these past 3 months. It'll be alright eventually though.

Yeah same here. (Though we don't have a pickup limit, that's a bummer) Some weird stuff on our no-go list...like, "boats."
Which tells me people actually ask to have their boats dumped haha

They take old disgusting caster/rolling kitchen table chairs from 1994 thankfully.

Yeah it's weird they'll take a big old rusty BBQ but not a pair of leaf springs, wtf. But I guess they're afraid if they accept car parts then people will start using them solely to dispose of their old parts, not to mention all the oil and grease that comes with some things

They won't take my smashed fender but jokes on them, I'll just cut it up and put it in the recycle bin

I think anything automotive is like that because cheap shops would try using their employee's house garbage pickup as their shop disposal.

Anything metal goes in my scrap pile but working on other people's crap makes my scrap pile grow faster than most. Bent aluminum wheels and brake rotors are the usual items to make my scrapyard trips worth it. Leaf springs and a fender aren't worth the fuel cost.

They don't take building materials here but I've had it picked up a bunch, just say its a dismantled //insert choice of furniture here\\
It all gets scooped up with a gigantic claw anyway.

Sounds stressful. Never feels good being in limbo like that. New job still in Angelo or are they shipping you somewhere?

You’ve got a good attitude though, makes a big difference.

Thought about that but they are pretty easy to identify and now I've got a paper trail with the trash company that will implicate me if they find out lol.

Applied all over the country, basically anywhere outside the salt belt. Last position I applied to was local but had the highest requirements, higher step/pay, and shortest application window. Got the local job out of 20 something applicants and two interviews. Heard nothing from the other openings I had applied for, so it was meant to be I guess.

I have enough trauma to last me a while from this city. So the goal is to not even apply locally when I go for the next grade in ~2 years. Should be able to travel more with some accrued leave and higher pay.
