Cv boot clamp slipped off

    3” level kit front, Dakar HD w/ Billy B110’s, 1.25” spidertrax, 265/70r18 Falken Wildpeaks AT3W
    My passenger side outer boot clamp fell off. Took in for inspection and they said no way to put on a new clamp and put on a zip tie. This doesn’t sound right, right? He said the special tool to put it on is no longer made…… WTF. Please tell me this is BS.

    Total BS. Can run to napa and get bands and a clamp easily....or they sell smoother-edged worm clamps that would work.

    @turbodb has a great CV re-boot walk through with parts and tools. When I re-did my axels with factory boots I had a clamp come loose and spew grease. I needed some extra grunt to get the clamp to hold, this was with clamp tools.
