Was curious about those tire carriers. I did 285/75/17’s with F5’s on mine. Trying to hook up my light bars now. One in the upper and one in the lower grille.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but with the DCSB, the access on top of the tank is just below the back seat, so raising the bed isn’t helpful. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

    Looking sharp!

check out this video, might give you a good idea about how it looks/sits:
    https://youtu.be/IRNng3wn0sk

I grew tired of brining my spare in the cargo area and installed the tire carrier over a year ago. I personally had to order shims for the lower hinge, but other than that it’s been great.

My upper is holding on with JB Weld. I don't feel so bad anymore about putting a nice solid crack in mine back in the day anymore. Good to know others have either joined the club or are in the same boat as me.

you are correct as i helped install on YOUR truck.
correct as the short box trucks require a tank drop.
thats not that hard. but getting the top on and off were no fun both times i did it. that would be a good write up for page uno.

I installed a URD fuel pump kit with an AEM 320 lph pump recently. Dropping the tank is not terrible. Get the tank close to empty. I used cam buckle tie down straps attached to the frame and looped under the tank along with my floor jack to lower it. Disconnecting the plastic connector on the vent tube was the only issue I had, there is not much room to get your fingers in there to release it. I zip tied the external filter to a crossmember.

Try dropping an LRA tank that requires the propeller shaft to be moved out of the way in a DCSB. Total pita.

Used a block of wood and a jack, on the oil pan. May have loosened the bolts for the transmission bracket.

I’m hoping it’s just the intercooler hose or something.

If you have removed the S/C it could be the intercooler o-rings on upper manifold cover. Per Magnuson - 208 size and Mcmaster carr 9452K187

Yeah, relocating the filter is highly recommended.

The filter that comes with the URD kit is not recommended because of a paper filter inside - I run a Nissan filter, which is a metal mesh filter.

Which filter are you using? I was about to order the URD kit. Isn’t there a thread somewhere here on how to improve the URD kit?
