Yea I see your point, my comment was pretty cringe in retrospect. In fact I have a big soft spot for 3rd gen Camry wagons and OBS Imprezas, which a lot of people find pretty gutless and bland. Besides, it’s cool to see any older car in such pristine condition.

 

I don’t want any local machine shop touching my stuff after the experience with machining the heads.

And everything I’ve seen says to just replace the shims to stay in spec.

Do you at least know the sizes you need? And how many are out of spec?
I lucked out and was barely in spec for a couple so just left it but this sounds like a pain

 

for a long time I thought BaT was referring to craigslist basket cases before i found out it was its own thing lol

I just want to know if any happily ever after stories came out of the Missed Encounters ads

 

I love reading them, but I get the feeling meeting anyone from missed connections turns into missing persons

 

I think more happy endings came from casual connections before they deleted it

I have a spreadsheet with everything. One intake needs adjustment and all the exhaust valves need it. Ordered the shims I need but it’s been two weeks of backorder status.

 

Lots of places vend the individual shims since Yamaha uses them for bikes and whatnot too.

Running the Haltech on my truck is going to be a bit annoying from the AC perspective. I need to rewire it since I don't need the idle up solenoid or the ACT or ACI pins anymore.
