What do I do with my camping gear after it’s shredded and I need it. Is there a reverse shredder available?

Just get a regular tarp and some bungee cords. Done.

Worked great for me over the years.

I regularly use something that may be close to what you are describing - Gladiator Cargo Net It's not inexpensive, and it's questionable if it is any more useful than a blue tarp and a half dozen bungee cords, but the small size (4.75ftx6ft) fits the short-bed perfectly and the kit packs down into a case that rides behind the rear seat when not in use. I've added extra OEM bed hooks to the front bottom of the bed and used the net and four straps (one at each corner) to carry everything from lumber, lawn equipment, refrigerators. For something like a days worth of raked leaves, I'd start with a blue tarp, dump the leaves on top, wrap the leaves into a taco/burrito, then throw the net over. [note: same product linked in post 28 - I have the non-waterproof version]

I use a big blue tarp and ratchet straps, sometimes dumb is better. Like others have said, a tarp big enough to go in first and fold over when full. You don't need something that you can strap directly onto, just something to hold it down. My truck came with the bed rails and four cleats, no extra hardware necessary, and no unnecessary waste with plastic trash bags for compost

Thank you boys... this is getting close. I'll probably pick one up and work on some straps.

I have a friend who does boat upholstery including covers and bimini tops. I wonder if he'd be interested in 'inventing' something.

Collaboration...was letting him know that I'm interested in the same concept as he is, and that I'm interested in the thread.

Not like your brain-dead opinion that wasn't even relevant to what he was talking about. All your post did was inject negativity into the thread, Rich.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. I was looking at these as a way to keep my stuff dry, but still have the option to use my bed rack. I ended picking up a softopper.

That's what I do. I'd be more than happy to make whatever design it was you posted, but it wouldn't be affordable

Cheap polymer tarp and some medium sized rocks to hold it down.

That would work pretty good too. And with those blue tarps, it would be no big thing to trim it to the proper width.

[edit]. this is pretty much what I was envisioning but with a bit of a stretchy top.
