I can’t believe how different we look

 

I can believe it.
If it was manufactured in the last 10 years, it’s got a life span of 3-7 years in my experience.
The last refrigerator we bought made it 3 years.
Washer 5 years, and Dryer almost 7 years.

My grandparents microwave was almost 20 years old.
Replaced that one with a Whirlpool. Sales guy said we’d be lucky to make it past the the extended warranty. Yeah, you can bet they bought the warranty. And they can come take that SOB down off the wall if dies. That ain’t a one man job. Well, it is. But it won’t be again.

Amanda and I met in school, either in late 2009 or early 2010, not long after we bought the Tacoma; I had a crush on Amanda almost from the moment I met her, but she was dating somebody. They broke up a short time later, and she was attracted to me as well, but we were both too shy to say anything to each other; Amanda is a year younger than me and I graduated from the program in 2010.

The mountain troll she ended up spending more than a decade with came into her life in late 2010, by the time they both graduated in 2011, they were engaged. All I did was hug Amanda at a party in 2011 as a friendly gesture, and her made her cut me out of her life (including blocking me on Facebook) because he thought I was coming on to her.

If @Stitchgirl90 feels comfortable sharing everything that happened from 2011 to 2022, I will let her do that.

I reconnected with her in September 2021 and we immediately hit it off. Her ex was very possessive of her despite not showing her any affection, and put a stop to our communications; I reached out to her over a year later, in January 2023. We are now dating and she is about to be done with her dickhead ex forever!

 

Understood that you don’t like me. The feeling is mutual.

I have made efforts these past few days to be cordial. No reason that you cannot do the same. We are adults, not everyone has to be friends to get along at the proverbial playground.
