    Hey all,

The GF got me an Air BNB in Yucca Valley for my 40th Bday so I can play around with the Tacoma in Joshua Tree this weekend. I wanted to know some trails or where to head for a couple short day trips out from the ABnB. I have a 3” lift with 285/70r17 K02’s, I am fairly comfortable off road but I haven’t been in this area. Anything to be aware of or trails to hit would be appreciated. Thanks All

We were there last weekend. Berdoo canyon was easy, there was 1 tight spot. Only used 4wd a couple times and might not have needed it. We hit a few trails outside the park and nothing difficult. If rangers tell you no parking in a specific lot check for yourself.
    Enjoy

Good to know thank you. I know our Air BNB is a bit off from Berdoo Canyon but it was definitely on the list

Well I just saw pictures of various flooding in Palm Springs and realized they got a lot of rain there in the last couple days so things may have changed. Berdoo canyon may have got washed out?? Be very careful and go slow until you know the roads aren't washed out.

Pinkham Canyon to Thermal Canyon to Aquaduct Rd to Berdoo Canyon to Yucca. Or other way around if departing from Yucca.

Geology tour rd if you want something light and easy, I believe it connects to part of the entrance to Berdoo canyon

Thank everyone for there insight. I am at the Air BNB now and will head out soon. I was given a map yesterday with updated conditions and was told to try this area and possibly go south on the Geology trail. But we will see.

I know you're mostly looking for some truck fun but Ryan Mountain was a great hike. Not too difficult and not too easy.

Used to love rock climbing and bouldering out there. Would go 2 or 3 times a week when I was stationed out there. The old mine shafts were pretty popular back then too.
