Favorite Whiskey?

I’m not familiar with a lot of those, but I do see one from South Carolina. Might call for a road trip.

 

Anybody gets the Yamazaki 18 I have an Old Rip Vanwinkle 10 to trade.

 

I'd agree with the first two. A lot of the others I've never had.

Bardstown #8 is on my list to grab. Barrell has me very intrigued now that I've tried the Seagrass. Just a brand I've never had the urge to try or gravitated to.

 

If we asked the TW Whiskey thread what the most underrated Bourbons would be, what would y'all say? My first vote would probably go to RR10.

A while back I was out at dinner and the restaurant's scotch selection was meager and predictable; Macallan 12, Glenlivet 12, etc. Nothing wrong with those, but been-there-done-that. Only one I hadn't tried that they had was Dewars White Label, which is an inexpensive blend I never gave a glance to. I was impressed, dare I say better I like it more than the other two I mentioned. So I bought a bottle, and that's what I'm drinking tonight.

 

Popped this open tonight, pretty good though not worth the price.

In my humble opinion, and clearly against the grain, Eagle Rare is not that great and, for me, I would say it is over rated.

Having said that, Woodinville Whiskey Co is a local Washington state distillery and it is pretty tasty. I have enjoyed the straight and cask strength, and will be trying their rye sometime soon. However, that will have to wait until I’m through with this:



So far this has been pretty good. But I’m curious how the bottle will finish out.
