Seriously. I think I spend just as much time on this forum in the gun threads as I do in the truck threads.

I have a lot of them, in 15 and 17 round flavors. I had read a lot about issues when they first came out-i think that was the early 2010's. I only shoot from one or two of them, and I don't shoot real often. But those 1 or 2 have never been cleaned and have given no issues. I don't see any problems with the feed lips either. I like the baseplate design way more then Glock mags, they come apart just like Magpul AR mags. I'm not concerned about the lack of metal liner and plastic feed lips. The same transition happened with GI to polymer AR mags. I only have 2 complaints-they don't drop free as quickly on a dry reload (they seem lighter and rougher textures than factory mags) and the baseplate is significantly larger, so it creates a slightly larger footprint if you carry. Also only 1 witness hole at full capacity. I think I paid $10-12 a piece for them. I consider them still in my own "T&E" phase, but I've been pleased enough to keep buying them.

I'm the same way. I went in to buy the Sig M17 or M18.......bought a G19X instead. Nothing against other brands, I just can't get away from Glock. I'm loving my G43X and 48 MOS's right now. I think my next will be a G47. I need a new one to match my EPC-9 :D

Me too. I actually prefer the TW gun section to most dedicated gun boards. Alot of them get way too political and don't actually talk about guns.

I'm now down to my last P320 and it will be posted up for sale in a bit. I'm kicking myself now for selling my G19.2, 19.3 and 19.4. Now I'm on the hunt for a G19.2-4. Post up some picture of the G47 when you get it.

The G47 is a ways down on my priority list. I'm in the process of trying to get rid of a bunch of "unnecessary" shit

My favorite Glock. If there could only be one, this would be it.

That’s a good looking gun. How do you feel about the 47?

Never owned the 47, but it's basically a G17 with 1/2" shorter dust cover and takes the G19 recoil spring assembly.

    Isn't the G47 in essence a G45 frame and G17 slide?

    I thought so.

    I like my G45. I wonder if I need a G47?

My reasoning for wanting a G47 next is this, and tell me if you think i’m crazy:

I have a G19 Gen 5.1 (no front slide serrations, no MOS) the very first ones they came out with. I love it but I just wish it was an MOS model, I dont really care about the front slide serrations….

    ANYWAY

My thoughts were, buy a G47 and pull the slide to throw on my G19 and i’d gain both of those missing features as well as a little bit more slide length/velocity, while keeping my 15 round compact frame that fits me like a glove and has some serious break in mileage on the magwell (less important, then i’d have a G19 slide i could throw on the G47 frame and have a G45 to mess with)

    Thots?
