That's a horrible idea. What time?
I bought my VW there, and looked at another before someone else got it. I've seen a few other vehicles over there that looked good. I don't get the impression that they are auction shopping to fill the lot. And they do their own service and inspections instead of relying on a contractor to do this for them. Would I want to pay that much for a '15, probably not. But like mark said, it's gonna be hard not to. They worked with me to get a deal, so it couldn't hurt to ask.

I understand that prices have gone up, but has the longevity of vehicles increased exponentially as well? what’s the average lifespan of an engine? If it’s 200k on a 1gr then I think paying $25k for something that might last another 50k miles is a bold move.

I drove through all the trails yesterday and could not make it through the lower stream trail with the opposing stumps (I’m sure that definition doesn’t help)

This is the same question I keep asking. Have even used it as a price-negotiating tactic.

The intelligent response is the price is what the market will bear. The technical response is that the 4.0 has shown its willingness to easily make it to 500k miles. Even with poor maintenance.

It might make it to 500k but I doubt your compression is going to be solid after 150k

    Compression is overrated.

Really, as long as it runs well and passes inspections I don't care. I just wanna wheel. Not win races. And I'm good about upkeep.
