Weather was finally nice and kids wanted the windows rolled down. After I did I noticed a slight squeal noise. I couldn’t hear it with the windows up. I also noticed it was only when I was on the throttle. If I was braking or just coasting it stopped. Any ideas? I am just shy of 33k miles. All my local dealerships suck so I’m trying to avoid them if possible but my warranty is up at 36k.

can you narrow down where you hear the noise? under the hood, rear, passenger, etc.?

Idler pulley or fan belt. I am pretty sure there was a tsb on the fan belt, so the exchange should be free.

So I came to my local dealership and of course got the “we can’t duplicate the problem”. I hate dealerships!

Post a video...probably the serp belt. $50 for a new OEM one and 30 minutes of your time to change.

Ok to their defense I just drove it back home and didn’t hear it either. It’s done it the last few days though! What the heck! It’s raining now so I will check it again later and try to record it. I might just do the serpentine belt myself then just to be sure.

Belt could haven’t gotten a little wet thus suppressing the noise. If you wait until the noise comes back, squirt some water on the belt when it’s running and see if the noise goes away.
