Let Harvick pay the respects to Sr. with the 29 car. At least he's earned it. Austin, no!

 

Better yet, let Kyle Busch run the 3 car. At least it would be up front

 

he's not been around long enough. He earned his stripes with JGR, not RCR.

Harvick was and is the right car for the throwback to Sr while representing his old roots with the 29

While I get that, Harvick is in a Ford. At least Kyle is in a Chevy and RCR.

 

he's still representing his sponsors, paying respects to RCR with the number and a salute to Sr. Kyle won't do it, he's not the right guy, it's not a Ford/Chevy thing.

 

I actually feel like Kyle is the perfect guy for this. But that’s just my opinion and I’m not as tuned into Nascar as others on this thread.

 

I'm a huge Kyle fan but putting all the manufactures aside, there is really only a single driver that should do this salute/throwback. Don't get me wrong, it would be cool to see Kyle in the black number 3 GM Goodwrench paint scheme but it just wouldn't seem right to me.

 

I got you. It would really help the sport if Kyle could get back to his winning ways in Cup and in a Black Chevy. To many nice guys in Nascar, they need a villain.

 

I don't see Dale SR in this at all. I see a tribute to RCR and Harvick himself. Thats all

 

Even lacking the small 3 that the 29 used to run in front of the quarter panel sponsor.

 

Maybe I’m the only one who sees what that 29 car meant to RCR, NASCAR and Harvick

in 2001, after Sr. died, the 3 didn’t run again that season. The 29, and that season, is why Harvick can only do it justice. He was carrying the torch for RCR.
