In all seriousness, you did nothing wrong, I don't know why people are giving you a hard time. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves with their beat to shit trucks? A sense of superiority? The world may never know.

Mall Crawling?!? That is a joke right? As I said, I have been 4 wheeling for 13 years and done everything from easy to difficult. I plan and lead groups to the middle of nowhere all the time. I am a co leader of a overland group. I never said fail, you did. I care about how my new 45k truck looks until it gets its first Colorado pinstripes... SUE ME! Once again.. a keyboard warrior gets his badge for digging on someone for giving props to a company.

You know what? Call them! Tell them they are idiots for standing by their product. Tell them that they should just ignore every customer who has a complaint. See what their response is. I talked to Tim. He is in sales and he is a really cool dude.

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
I’m with op, if I spent what he did on sliders I would expect the company to stand behind it if a defect was found. Which they did.

Cause for failure or not, the company did make the offer to op, so imo no harm no foul just taking what he preferred of the options offered from the manufacturer.

For all these members taking a combined crap on op, I guess none of you ever received a damaged item, and then looked for/at your options to fix it.

    Cause for failure or not.

And for trashing op calling him a mallcrawler or it might hurt his shiny rig, wow, third grader on the play ground taunts? You have no knowledge how he used his rig or to what degree. And honestly it’s nobodies concern.

If he bought them to sit in his living room, and the same thing happened, and he took the same course of action it would still be well within acceptable reason.

OP enjoy rocking your repaired sliders, ignore the trolls.

Thank you for trying to put a little positivity out for an obvious stand up company that you are proud to represent and spend your hard earned money with, and thanks for trying to inform some of us that might not have known about them.

Tell me again that you didn't say fail?

I'd die if these are bolt on sliders at this point.

Fail as in strip the powder coat. That is a defect in workmanship. If they disagreed they would not have replaced it. Your definition of failure is literally falling off the truck.

Love how you are so upset that you'll take the time to go look up my profile to find anything you can use to retaliate against me. What does that say about your character?

At first glance, I thought it might be just a rock chip. But after someone pointed out all that crazing of the powder coating, I realized this was caused by some poor QC on the vendor's part.

One good rock jolt to that slider and all that powder coat would have come off that end piece. OP was absolutely justified in asking RCI to correct this given they are brand new. Now those saying these things will get beat to shit on the trail are not wrong, but that point is irrelevant given the missed QC item by the manufacturer.

    Yeah.
If you paid for powder coating, you have every right to ask them to make it right. But I'd be more worried about the big oil spot under the truck. :D
