Rebooted my stock cv axles this past weekend. Also swapped out the needle bearing and installed the bushing in the transfer case.

Its not hard. There is like one big screw in the interior door handle behind a little plastic flap. Then pop out the window controls panel and unplug. Otherwise, just gently pull from the bottom and work your way around the edges, the lift up and out.

Well I think its finally done! I brought it into firestone last week and they messed up the alignment and my tires were rubbing the uppers. I brought it into a shop I know knows a little more about off road suspension and they got my dialed in! Truck is sitting a lot higher now then it was but I haven't taken measurements or pictures of it yet I'll do that once I get home tonight. Been super busy getting ready to move so I have been all over the place. I might need to adjust the preload a little bit but its good. I still need to track down the clunk I have been hearing this week and hope I didn't forget to tighten something up.

Nice, can’t really tell is that the straight back hc bumper or the angled one? I’ve had this bumper on an open tab in my browser for a while now :anonymous:

There’s 2 screws plus the control panel. One at the handle and one at the lock/latch. Pry up the control panel from the front, then the back slides forward to remove.

I’m fairly certain it’s 4-4.25. Keep in mind my wheels are 16x10s with -25ish offset. It’s hard to find specs on these old wheels.
