Busting Myths About Farm Critters... With Gritto


The only gentle bovines I know of from personal experience are Jerseys.
Of course, Jersey cows are less than half the size of Holstein cows.
Very meek and cooperative, which Holsteins definitely ain't.
A Holstein will deliberately stomp on your foot or kick you.
Nothing beats them for volume of milk production though.

A neighboring farm had some Jerseys, which is why I know.
Their milk is comparatively higher in butterfat, more suitable for butter and premium ice cream.

 

Mrs Gritto has been hinting lately that we should try that one.
As I understand it, they haven't been in business for long and the menu is limited.

 

I always appreciate the first hand Gritto knowledge, but I think I still need more proof. Buffalos are still different creatures, so it's plausible their behavior is alike, but I just don't know. Do we have any buffalo experts on here?

 

That's my understanding as well. The food was good.

You know the curriculum in the state of MD includes works of Poe in every single year of education from 6-12 grade. I was so sick of Poe by the time I graduated. That and I'm not really a horror reader anyway.

Though I put my Poe aversion aside for football season when the Ravens play.

 

I read "The Cask of Amontillado" in eighth grade.
Gave me nightmares.
