Have a new 2023 Tacoma Accesscab TRD Offroad on order, estimated delivery of date Apr 21-30. Hopefully it gets here on time. I plan to get a few accessories to make it camp-able. Do a lot of dirt road driving in the summer here in Colorado and snowy, ice covered roads in the winter. I'm wondering what accessories others use that I'm not even aware of that I should consider. I'll list below what I will be getting, but I would love your suggestions.

    Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires
    UPDATED: OEM Rubber bed mat

    Softtoper for the cap
4knines dog beg for the back access cab seats.
    Weathertech front window deflectors
Bambench for the rear sleeping platform
Mountain hatch to make the tailgate more useable

Already had that on the list. Forgot to write it up in the original post. Thanks for the reminder.

The last Tacoma (2010 Access Cab 2.7L) I had had plastic mud flaps on them and they all eventually just ripped off from normal driving. I wasn't too enthusiastic about that. Are there similar issues with current generation?

I like the snail armor tailgate insert. It's steel and powder coated. There is a discount code that shows up if you Google it that makes it under $200

    Front Skid plate

Good if you are in snow and ice and potentially a rock mixed in.

I just got a CaliRaised front skid, looks well built, I need to get it installed.

The OCD tray for the centre console is very handy.
If you don’t have a tonneau cover, some extra bed rail tie downs can be useful.

3rd gen mud flaps are rigid and a little shorter. Mine have held up pretty well, 70,000.00 miles

I keep looking at those, but due to health issues I can’t drive for 6 months. I’m still looking though.

Mine's been on for over a year. Clean it with some spray detailer when it gets messy and the darn thing still looks like new. It's also a heck of a lot easier on the knees. It's well worth the $200 to me. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Are you planning to stick to the lowland? Most the FS roads get pretty rocky pretty fast in the mountains. If you plan on doing any of our passes via FS roads you will absolutely want and need to finish your skid plates. At last do the engine/transmission/transfer.

I have plates on everything and all of them have damage. Even the lose scree is a bitch. I just got tired of hearing rocks slamming into my trucks underneath.

After that comes sliders. Again, in Colorado you will want these. A lot of the 4x4 trails get very steep and narrow very fast.

Replace the dome light, map lights, and vanity lights with Diode Dynamics LEDs. Get an organizer for the glove compartment and console. Kicker-Subaru tweeters. MESO or VLED tail light conversion.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Might want to consider bed stiffeners if your putting the soft topper (or anything else) on the bed rails. Will help prevent flex of the composite bed.
