I have searched everywhere on google and here for a video/step by step about cleaning the throttle body. Can't find anything. Don't want to mess up any electronics if I open the butterfly valve. I have a 2019 OR w/75k miles on it. Just looking to do some simple maintenance without removing the throttle body. Any help would be appreciated.

Forget about the top engine cleaner part, they don’t sell the tool. You can take the time to build one.

Less the intake, the valves can somewhat be cleaned with an addative to the fuel.

For your part, ffw to 3:00

MOC intake cleaner! Basically it’s throttle body cleaner. Most car dealers use it. Just remove a vacuum line prior to the throttle body have someone sit in the car and rev to 2800 rpm and put the spray tube where you removed the vaccuum line. Make sure to maintain the rpm level. About 45 sec should do the trick.

Good stuff. I thought the dealer was stoning!

Although I doubt I’ll need it. I checked the 2008 Honda Element with 124,000 miles yesterday and the MAF sensors looked new. No debris.

Shoot, I dig the fact soft taco got some of us fired up on the DIY’n!

Yeh. MOC makes some really good products. The maf sensor cleaner works good too. Spray on at an angle let it dry and you’re good to go, also leaves no residue.

Ehh. Easier to remove a vacuum line with the MOC. And I never seen any tech do it that way..
