I’ll let the dealership do all the work. Haha while I putt putt around in the loaner. I pay too much a month for this truck to have to hurt my back over it.

2mil sold over 8 years and the verdict is in: These are reliable trucks that will last beyond your or my lifetime if properly maintained and not abused. And because of that fact, even if you don’t like yours, there’s a line of people who would like to buy it from you so either way you win.

Like all things in life there are unfortunate exceptions. But based on the stats alone even if 10,000 people were to pile on here about one issue, that would still mean 99.5% of the rest of us do not have that issue. That’s just math.

My dealer promised that my 2023 would NEVER have a problem as long as I owned it.
My dealer promised if by some random unlucky chance something went wrong I could bring it in, skip the line in the shop and they wouldn’t just fix the problem, they would replace the truck for a brand new one of equal or better value when purchased new including adjustments for future inflation.
My dealer told me that their reputation of delivering a high quality product and providing world class service and satisfaction was all that mattered to them.

Unfortunately I noticed the transmission hunting for gears a bit between 45 and 48 mph when accelerating on the highway so I’m gonna part it out. As a result my opinion is that Toyotas are trash.

If I hold second gear and allow the revs to build right at 3500 my truck gets the zoomies and takes off like something scared it. It's fun as hell and I never get bored with it!

I don't even have to do that. From a dead stop idling, just put the heel to the steel, and you'll hear loud tire squealing, and you're off like a jack rabbit.
Imo, its the people that buy these trucks, and expect something completely different from them are the biggest problem.

I'm at 900 miles on my new taco, no mechanical issues so far. Nearly every day when I get home, I tell my wife "Thank You for buying me Luna Taco."
My only complaint so far is that the fake hood scoop doesn't let air flow across the entire hood, and little water drops collect on the depression just in front of the windshield. I have 2 coats of Zaino on this puppy, she should be slick as snot.

Math with absolutely no sources of data is just bad math. Seriously you just made up some numbers and threw them out there. Did you survey “2 mil” owners? Link please?

Mine pools up water in the little dip right before the windshield as well. No skewp. I detail my truck every other week and finish off with a detailing spray that adds water beading to body surface but it's not enough for the water droplets to slide on off to the sides of the truck unless I'm going through a curve or bend on the freeway or the winds are crazy strong.

Specifically, Toyota has sold over 1.8mil Tacomas in 8 years and counting. Sorry I rounded…

    10,000 divided by 1,8mil = .005.

Those are only numbers i mention. You can also refer to Kelly Blue Book for resale data supporting the likelihood that people would actually like to buy your truck even if you don’t like it. Should be good to go.
