I get my 27F from dealer. pretty competitive price. For some reason costco and sams dont have 27F locally.

Suggest any brand 24F. Save some $ and get the cheapest you can find. They're all mostly made by 3 or 4 manufacturers. Fancy plastic and labels are only to attract your$. An AGM might have less corrosion at the posts in the long run.

Love me some Optima Red Top for offroading. No sloshy dripping acid out the vents.

This is the correct answer. I used to sell these and can confirm that there are only 3 mfg, and they are all last 3-4 years on average. Go for the best price on the highest CCA and you will be happy.

AGM requires a different charging voltage, so unless you are offroading hard etc just stick with the usual flooded lead acid.

Yup, I’ve done that before too. I’d park way in the back of the parking lot, swap it out and then go back in and get my deposit back

so . . . if i did know how to go around the electroinics memory which i don't, how much labor would i be saving by doing it myself?

i don't mind paying because of their liability, but i don't want a ride on the upyerbum express either!

You just unplug old batt, plug in new batt.

    There's nothing else involved.

Best to unplug ground (black) cable first when removing. Then install ground last when re-connecting.

Everstart 24F AGM from Wally World. It's made by Johnson Controls in Korea, has a 4 year free replacement warranty vs Costco's 3 year and costs about $160-$170. Plenty of juice for aftermarket lights, amps, ect. I keep mine topped off with Noco Genius 10. (you don't need to tune the ecu for voltage boost for agms). OEM battery strap will work, but an aftermarket one will sit flush and fit better. Off Grid Engineering or one from Coupe...

I use AAA batteries to power my truck, so I change my batteries quite often

Wally World baby and comes with pretty much a coast to coast warranty (there's a Walmart in pretty much every town in America!).

At the end of the day, they are all pretty much the same unless you desire "boutique" voltage.
