Varnished/painted maple table top rescued from the burn-pile at the dump turned out to be birdseye with a little figure to it. Purty!

What a find! Birdseye and curly maple are crazy expensive around here.

Birdseye and Curly Maple are used in guitar building, sales have been through the roof for the last few years. Most trees are at least 100+ years old.

Damn! I might need to commission one of those off you... the MIL is wanting a new chair, and that might be the most suitable chair seat for her I've ever seen!

There was a point in my life I had more free time ...

My 15 ft, 70 degree angled desk. Three parts (can be connected by bolts) so can be move through even 28 in standard doors. Legs recessed so can slide one end to the other without hitting knees. 2x4s, plywood. With a shelf stepped/angled for the basement wall that forms a useful wraparound U space.

    DeskShelfCombo.jpg DeskRecessedLegs.jpg DeskOverview.jpg

A waterbed frame converted to a TV stand on wheels

    TVStand.jpg

Hold weights at 20 degree angle at 22 inches off the ground (holds 200 lb at least for brief periods)

    WeightHolder1.jpg WeightHolder2.jpg

Garage shelf ... 12 ft long, 8 ft high, 18 in deep to keep things off the floor during snowy winters

    GarageShelf.jpg

And a shelf made for a friend, first foray inti stain treating it like paint. Back is only 1/2 birch pine but has complex 45-degree angled interlock between panels

    BlackShelf.jpg

I have more and I expect some of you do not have glassed-over eyes yet, but still ... just one more item before I shut down this photo library ... an extended writing-board/keyboard-holder/mouse-pad-area from "blondwood" and furniture-screw-feet. Writing board loosely held in place with artificial groove, 2 pieces on main section make it crazy-sturdy

Saw Stop with all the bells and whistles and a 60” out feed. Best saw I’ve ever used in my career.

My soon took the photograph last October at Snowbowl in Flagstaff Arizona. I made the frame a couple of weeks ago. My father just finished the watercolor painting yesterday and we hung it on the wall just now. Family project.

Does anyone know how i can fix a warped butcher block? I put some wet towels on it the other day and it looked perfect so i removed them and let it dry out and it just went back to being warped
