I saw a TRD Sport manual with a 10k market adjustment. That bad boy is going straight CPO.

Wife has a Sport Premium DCSB, I have an AC OR; both are 4x4 manual transmissions.

For any long trips or going out to town for dinner (like tonight) we'll always choose hers for the drive. Hers is completely fine for getting to our remote cabin in the Rocky mountains and for Canada-level snowstorms. We did pull the front air dam, add a skid plate, and install OR tires and wheels; 'cuz mountains.

The only plusses on mine are that when I do need the super-duper OR stuff it's nice to have it...and TBH, I got the AC because I spend 95+% of my time in the vehicle alone, and the extra "Please Zeus, help me get unstuck" features make me feel better about that.

Love my 2019 Sport! Only one they had in manual. Besides matchbox made one just like mine. What's not to like? In the end they're all just expensive toys...

No regrets for me. Bought it off the lot & it had all of the features that I wanted. A locking diff would have been nice but not a deal breaker.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
I wanted the Sport for the looks, scoop and painted flares. I had no desire for the Off Road as I knew my off roading days were over except the beach, some snow and maybe a trail. I never do anything serious to need a locker, never had one and I know I will never use one. Also if the Crawl Control ever took a shit I didn't want the repair bill. The Wife has a new Limited 4Runner sitting now with 15k miles on it, garaged kept, in malicious showroom condition as well as my Tacoma. I'm retired and she works from home a few days or runs to the office just 3 miles away so our newer Toyotas see very low miles but we have a mint 99 4Runner that we crank the miles on, and is pretty much on the run everyday. I may go buy a 2023 Pro as it may be the last of the good old days of the Tacoma, I have a feeling the new 2024s won't be a hit.

Wanted a Pro for looks and perhaps resale. Decided on a Sport and when I became aware of the TRD lift kit ( yes I know overpriced) I felt like best of both worlds. Now thanks in part to TW I’ll be taking my time and enjoying all the mods and even though in the end will have spent some $$$$$ I feel I’ll have a better truck for my purposes than a Pro and look even better

the power bulge in the hood, chin strap, and handling are what makes the Sport much better. makes me wonder why anyone would buy an OR.

Bought the off road dcsb for all the goodies. Coming up on a year and never used any of them. Not even an inch of snow to play in. Don't want to take my new Tacoma on the beach in the salty sand here on Long Island. Have a Wrangler for that. The Sport would have been just fine for me and $2500 less. No regrets tho but if I do it again I'd go for the sport.

Definitely no regrets on purchasing a TRD Sport...an automatic transmission too!

It's great that everyone makes individual changes to their trucks that meets owner's needs & desires.

Here's my recent photo with the latest updates: front tint/window guards.

EDIT--coming up on 2 years of ownership May 14, 2023.

Me either. I love my Sport & it works for where I go. I did put on a set of Toyo AT 3 265/70/17 tires & that’s all I need!

I had the short bed & when I put a tool box on it, you basically had nothing! This time I searched high & low & got 6’ bed TRD Sport in silver. I love this truck

I had to make a choice between a long bed and a 6MT; the third pedal under the dash took precedence. :)

No regrets at all. 90% pavement 10% woods (and its' been in some pretty gnarly situations over the years and did stellar). 110,000 miles and was on the freeway yesterday morning at 80 MPH + and fuel economy was between 21-22. No air dam, TRD skid plate and 265-65/17 Toyo AT3's. This truck has exceeded my expectations since I drove it off the lot with 3 miles on the odometer. Recalls for the high pressure fuel pump and 3rd light gasket upgrade have been the only issues so far. What's kept me in this Taco so long has been the tune.

Can't stand the look of the skewp and the skirt, so I went with an OR. I know the skewp is just a gimmick, but how bout the skirt? I see some have removed it? Why does Toyota put it on?
