The 1946 Aeronca Champ I learned to fly at Cordova, Alaska was named Blue Thunder for the blue paint job with Alaska flag motif, and the noise that could not be heard while flying over the Harbormaster's Office to the city strip, and it had the bigger Continental C85! Quiet engine...

Give an inch, they take a mile.. offered to grade our road since the guy that used to moved away. Road association chick went from us not paying road dues to wanting us to also grade another two miles of road that we dont live on or use for basically what came out to $16/hr before diesel, maintenance, and the wear and tear on the tractor. Then just emailed wanting to have her husband come ‘look at the tractor to fabricate a hitch mount’. I hope they have good suspension on their vehicles because we just told them to pound sand at this point. Gtfo of here.

It is March 13, and 346 years ago today the Massachusetts bay colony made a novel purchase. Boston Magazine wrote in 2014: “On March 13, 1677, the imperial dreams of Massachusetts came to fruition. For on that day, our colony bought Maine for £1,250 sterling.”

    Interesting...

Fortunately I've spent my years in the 16 states that were never admitted to the constitutional republic, so there's the opportunity to apply with the new configuration of Greater Idaho (includes the 30% of Oregon that voted in favor of joining Idaho in 2020 and later). Several Idaho realtors encourage people to move here from elsewhere, but leave their political views in the rear view mirror.

Edit: That's 15 states, since Hawaii reestablished its sovereignty. Becoming a US territory, imprisoning Queen Liliuokalani, at the behest of sons of missionaries to protect their lucrative export fruit businesses was unnecessary.

Well it's morning, but not necessarily a good one.

I randomly woke up an hour before my alarm and thought "cool, I can sleep for another hour" and went back to sleep super easy (not the norm for me). Woke up again and was trying to find my phone to check the time, when the screen lights up from a text. It's 5 minutes after when my shift started and my relief is texting to see if I slept in. :boom: He was fine with it and very cool about it, but I generally pride myself on being early for easy shift changes and getting people out on time or even a little early.

I checked my alarms to see if I had been dumb and forgot to set them.... nope. Apparently when I fell back asleep I died, because I slept through 4 alarms that start going off an hour before I have to be out the door to make it to work right when my shift start. To sleep through those going off for the 30-40 minutes that they had to in order to go silent on their own... I didn't know I could sleep that deeply anymore.
