Mine was a stick, too, and I was happy to get 17 HWY on 33s. It was atrocious around town.

My wife and I are seriously looking into a Tahoe Z71 with the 6.2 next year once her Rav4 hybrid lease is up. We want to have another kiddo and I feel like the Tahoe would be perfect. I absolutely HATE the new sequoia and how they butchered it.

Who has the attention span for these drawn out reveals? I'm not that excited for this new Tacoma, maybe two years ago I was. Mostly because I can't see myself spending what these trucks will cost once dealers tac on the market adjustments.

The Tahoe looks nice. I have never sat behind the of the wheel new Tundra or Sequioa. When I look at interior picture the drivers compartment looks confined to me. This might not be a real issue once behind the wheel.

The 6.2 is bad ass but you should consider the diesel too. Torque is on par with the 6.2 and you’d probably net 5-8 mpg more than the 6.2. You really can’t go wrong with either motor.

I’d check out the 2023 since it’s all new, I love my Tacoma and no plans to ditch it for a AT4 but I like the looks, motor, tech in the new twins.

with the amount of tacoma's they sell, there is a part of me that thinks the gen4 may be a disappointment. i hope not but, i question whether they have put in the effort to make improvements when they continue to sell a bunch of these trucks. the competition is not taking much of the market share, yet.

many of the faithful accept the myriad of shortcomings, some of which have existed with the tacoma from previous generations. their rationale is it has a lot of aftermarket options for mods, it's relatively affordable, and it's more reliable. the later i am not so sure about.

as full-size trucks become even less affordable, and gas prices remain high, i think more buyers will be shopping and choosing other brands of small to mid-size trucks. while the tacoma sales will likely continue to remain at the top, i suspect the competition will increase sales. they have good products.

I test drove the new Tundra 3 weeks ago, definitely did not feel confined. I would daily drive one over my Tacoma . Very smooth ride and much more comfortable

Tacomas are plenty roomy for myself. There's probably more room in the new Tundra than a Tacoma. Just looking at the interior pictures from Toyota I can't see any room for the driver's right leg.

It’s a full size truck, it’s fine. Want confined? Drive my girl’s Lincoln Corsair. The junk box under the HVAC controls is right in the way of relaxed driving.

I'm sure the space in the Tundra is fine and comparable to other 1/2 tons. There's something about the way it all comes together that looks claustrophobic to me. IDK if it's a combination of the console and screen and how the wheel only sits so high above the dash. Could just be how it all comes together in the photos.

Is it still bad with a high flow cat? My 2.0t EA888 GTI with one and a 3” exhaust sounded pretty good.

I dont understand what you're saying, obviously the Tundra has more room then a Tacoma . And leg room in a Tundra is how the Tacoma should be . My legs are at 90 degrees not whatever the Tacoma is

Like many things the photos do not do the truck justice. I'm not saying buy one but go test drive one ,nothing wrong with a good old test drive.

I think this is going to be the first new Tacoma in along time that actually feels new. The change in platform is going to dramatically change the interior dimensions as well as the relationship between seats, body, wheel, etc. We'll get rear disk brakes, and coil suspension. I'm sure the aftermarket will continue to be very strong.

Toyota may be selling well, but trust me, they have seen their truck place poorly in comparison tests the last few years (5th, 6th, 7th, 7th.) Tacomaworld buyers might not care about all that, but lots and lots of truck buyers do.

I guess we'll wait and see and cross our fingers for a home run.
