Thanks for the heads up! I had been meaning to pick up a new camp stove.
Downside is they can't ship the fuel. Guess I'm going to run out to Brookfield tomorrow.

I borrowed a Camp Chef stove from a friend for a trip once. He said it was the best camp stove he's used. I'd probably buy it if I were in the market.

That's similar to what I'm looking at: the Camp Chef Rainier. Two burner with a griddle. Fleet Farm sells them, so I get points for using my card to purchase and Fleet Farm rewards points.

    I bought the Eureka SPRK+
    https://www.rei.com/product/179537/eureka-sprk-butane-camp-stove

I was looking for a simple single burner stove for solo trips. Should pair well with my Jet boil.

If the rest of the family is coming I will still bring by current propane grill.

I like the idea of a single burner like that. It saves weight and space. If I hadn't acquired 2 camp stoves in the last year and a half, I'd be quite tempted. Especially since it's on sale!:D

Cool that it is a dual fuel stove. Downside of the butane stoves is that the gas doesn't work great in the cold. In fact the newer butane stoves have a plate next to the burner that conducts a small amount of heat back to the canister. This helps keep the pressure consistent as the can empties.

I don’t even know how many I have at the moment. Too many lol

I just got one of these a couple weeks ago but haven’t had a chance to try it out yet
    https://skotti-grill.com/

Optimus weekender HE is my backpacking / water boiling rocket stove.

I had a Jetboil genesis Basecamp but I sold that to @uploadadventure a while back. Pretty sure he was using it in his kitchen a while back since he never goes camping any more lol

I had a cook partner stove when I had my trailer for like 3 months but I wasn’t a huge fan considering how much that cost. It got plenty hot but it was hard to control the lower end and I always turned the dial the wrong way when adjusting it. It was pretty touchy.

I’ve been using an Ikamper disco that I got when they ran it on Kickstarter (so I saved like 25%+). It’s really nice and you can use it without the dish for a pan or whatever or hang it over the fire. Got a ton of flexibility and everything packs up pretty compactly.

oh and a Weber Q 1200 makes the trip on occasion. The first trips we made out west were just the Weber Q and the rocket stove. We pretty much grilled something and made a mountain house for the side for every meal.

I think I’m up to 5 or 6 various camp stoves. The problem with most of them out there is that flame control is typically pretty crappy, most can’t smoothly go down to a simmer. I did see a YouTube review recently where they show that the Jetboil genesis Basecamp shoes a fantastic job with how fine the control is. I’d love to have one, but they are Uber pricey.

Perhaps I should look at it like my shop tools, for a very long time I bought the stuff I thought would be decent, but didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Then I used a high end tool a friend had, and it blew me away. Now I’ve replace most of my old tools (at heart expense) for quality tools and damn, everything is far better.

Stoves are overrated. Day-old (or two, or three) Taco Bell kept in a bag on the floor is the way to live. Add some Pop Tarts into the mix for variety, maybe some jerky too. Bam! More money freed up for truck mods.

After my recent experience with a 2 day old Kwik trip sandwich that I thought was ok in a cooler in the cold, I have to say that your option just isn't for me.
Truck parts will have to wait just a little longer...
