How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Dang, build date 3/24 out for delivery like 2 days later. Lucky

 

Hey guys in the NE waiting for their trucks that are stuck sitting in Veracruz…I am making a prediction

they will be shipped out of Veracruz on 3/29 - 3/31 and will arrive in Newark about a week later (first week of April). They will then be delivered by truck to dealers over the next week. I expect dealers to have these by 4/7 - 4/15. How do I know? I don’t, but it’s an interesting theory so hear me out:

-the origin vessel shipping/origin port antics seems to be the bottleneck in the logistics more than any of the other parts of this logistic process.

-look at all the historic dragon33 posts for folks ordering tacomas in the NE. The updates that have Veracruz>Newark vessels always note the same vessel: It’s always the Salvia Ace

-the Salvia Ace is scheduled to a Veracruz port call on 3/28 at 8pm Local time

-looking at historic salvia ace vessel data, it seems whenever salvia ace has been in Veracruz, it sits for 1-2 days and then arrives in Newark about 7-10 days later.

-It seems that it only does Veracruz <> northeast US runs, so this vehicle carrier seems to be the specific one utilized for this logistics route.




ps: I’m losing my mind and need to get a life at this point

 

Actually, I’m in NY and my truck shipped to Port of Newark via Adria Ace, FWIW.

My truck was not on hold but still sat at Veracruz for almost a month. Once it shipped it reached Newark in about 4 days and showed up at my dealership 2 days after that.

 

Is everyone that’s on this long hold in the north east ?? I’m in Pennsylvania myself

Southeast for me. As far as I know my truck made it to the Toyota logistics center in Princeton, Indiana and has been sitting there on hold. Supposed to go by truck from there to the dealership whenever it gets off hold.

 

Hmm mine left the factory went to Vera Cruz and has been just sitting there I guess

 

Mine was built at the Tijuana plant and then went by train to Indiana. It went on hold right as it arrived in Princeton. Yours was built at the Guanajuato plant (southern Mexico). Those trucks usually go by rail to the port at Vera Cruz and then get on a boat to go to the US. Seems like they usually go to Newark. If it’s currently on a ship you can put your VIN in here https://www.molace.com/TRK/Search and maybe get tracking information. I think this is the shipping company the trucks out of Vera Cruz go on.

I know way too much about Tacoma logistics after going through this….

 

Wow I like this research. Quite the interesting theory and seems like it could be accurate. @DragonPro23 you also mentioned your truck came on the Adria Ace. Is there a way you can tell that a truck is actually on a ship/is on the move? Or do you only get an update when it's at the new port?

I guess if you don't mind checking my Vin again we might be able to know if it shipped out on the Adria ace since the adria just left and is on the way to baltimore. Otherwise maybe @Ylovememylove maybe correct.

The status info will give a vessel departure date when the truck is actually on the ship. Once I had a ship date I knew that it was on the Adria Ace because that was the only car carrier vessel that left Veracruz that day. Then I was able to track the ship as it went to Baltimore and then on to Newark.

You can try putting your VIN in here. https://www.molace.com/TRK/Search It appears this is the shipping company Toyota uses out of Veracruz. It seems like sometimes trucks sit in Veracruz for a long time waiting for space on a ship. Seems to be a bottleneck.

 

I did check but no luck. I think @Ylovememylove is onto something. The Salvia ace seems to be all toyota shipments. I just hope I get the truck before may because I will definitely need it by then.

 

Just be glad you haven’t been slapped with the 70 day QC hold! I was originally supposed to have my truck two months ago now.

 

You are right! I am just letting the excitement get the better of me. In all reality things have been moving along pretty well so far. Hope you get yours soon!
