4.3 V6, 305 or the 350 were all available back then I believe. The 3/4 ton models could still get a 454 too.

Can't really go wrong with a rust free truck, parts are still easily available too.

I've been debating getting rid of the Tacoma and getting something like it. Or, go all out and find a 2022 Manual Tacoma. Can't make up my darn mind! :annoyed:

If you are going for an older Ford get a 92-96, they still have the 302 & 351 engines.
The F-250/350 kept the old body style until 1997 along with the 460 engine option - 7.5 liter for you metric folks. :boink:

All those old body style V8 Fords were hard on gas, my 92 F-150 was a constant 12 mpg, the 96 F-250 (460 power) gets about 7.5 in town and up to 11 on the highway.

You really don't understand 7.5 mpg until you actually live with it for a while, just running around doing the in town lawns/errands and the like could digest a 1/4 tank... :bananadead:

I got stuck commuting to work with it for a week when fuel was around $4/gallon, that was a painful week.
