No, I think what they are saying is they have two normal keys and zero fobs that remotely unlock the truck. The million dollar question now is if they have the body control module & wireless receiver installed from the factory or not. Going to need some eyeballs on it in the real world to figure that out though, nothing we can tell across the interwebs.

I don't have any clue what a remote would do, except unlock the doors.

Maybe it had remotes but previous owners/dealer lost them? It sucks, but some dealers pass that off hoping the new customer doesnt notice 600-800 dollars worth of missing keys. If the original window sticker came with it when you bought it, it might say if it was equipped with keyless entry. If it was, you should be able to get a remote fob

Seems odd that it wouldnt have come with it new, but toyota does weird stuff to push people up to the next trim level.

This is kinda weird though because I have painted bumpers and stuff but that could’ve been changed by the previous owner. My truck also isn’t a manual

according to the brochure for the 2015 models, you either need the SR5 or above for it to come standard or the convenience package to add it to the lower trim

That vin matches, so the truck is just an SR which is base obviously so that matches. The question would be is if the receiver is still out in the vehicle probably unlikely though

Long time no see guys!
Did a thing this weekend and traded in the Tacoma for a GMC Sierra AT4. Needed more room for a growing family and something bigger to pull the camper we purchased this past fall.

Going to start going through stuff I pulled off before trading in the truck. Would anyone be interested in a Tacoma World Garage Sale? Got a handful of stuff sitting in the garage otherwise will be listing on Facebook Marketplace.
