Early 80's I used to listen to a guy on the UNH station on Saturday evenings. Played early and raw metal.

Finally got around to building the hybrid battery cells balancing device. Couldn't find a thick enough piece of lumber for the base, so a little harbor freight strapping for the win. it's about 80# of batteries resting on six 1/2" carriage bolts that are passing through 3/4" glued plywood. No feat of engineering, but seems to be getting the job done. These are the 'spare set' of hybrid batteries. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I'll pull the set in the car. Balance all 56 together & then juice them up, rebalance & pick the best 28 at that point.

 

Eh, while the term Fugazi has been used for other things I took a stab at it.

I was lucky to have a couple of good influences on my music taste as a kid. One was a cousin who lived with us after his mom (my aunt) passed away suddenly and would let me sneak into his room to listen to music with him. Heard the Misfits in 1980 through him. The other was a bike magazine that also talked about hardcore and punk rock.

Never did the radio thing much myself, though I did like WAAF as a youngster.
