Dad had a 97' z71 with the 5.7 that got swept away in the flood of 2006. It was submerged completely, as was my childhood home. We drug it home, changed the battery and plugs and she fired right up. Electronics were fried but he sold it as is $1000 and off she drove.

I felt the same way this morning. daughter had opening ceremony’s for our local softball yesterday. I am on the board and do most of the field maintenance so I showed up early to prep the 3 fields and set everything up. After dragging all the infields and chalking the foul lines I was over 3 miles. By end of day it was 7.5 and I was beat.
Weather was hit and miss with snow all day and we got about 2” overnight. But today was a high of 60 and sunny.

Nothing like playing in the snow!

The ball needs to be painted a brighter color to see.

2" of snow they are still out golfing .

We got lucky, we stripped the house to the studs immediately and saved the house. Ended up selling it as is to a flipper who thought he'd get rich off us, like I said- we got lucky. The houses on both sides of us were condemned and I guess those people filed bankruptcy and walked away. Those houses were demolished.
The way I understood it, in Kentucky at the time we werent in a flood plane, therefor we weren't able to have flood insurance.
We had 8 feet of water in the basement no exaggeration, it was enough water to float his full sized truck away and to float a 27 ft boat on a trailer from 3 houses up right up next to our inground pool.

Welcome to Parks & Recreation! We hold an annual Ski & Skate Sale and a couple years ago my steps for the day were over 25K. More than 12 miles.

    Thanks for your volunteer help!

85% of our snow was gone. All that was left was from drifts or in the woods. Woke up today to pure this, with more coming. o_O At this point it's just a nuisance, I don't expect to be doing any blowing.

I've walked all the surrounding woods in the past week looking for turkey sign since the season opens Apr 18th. It appears that they are all vacationing elsewhere, so if you see a flock of turkeys flying over, send them my way. I'll make it worth your while!

Awesome! I feel better knowing where they are!

I'd probably be able to find them if I had an airboat.

Yeah, my auto pilot malfunctioned this morning. Had to think about the shower routine and other tasks instead of just doing them. Forgot my phone and reading glasses three turns into my commute…. Hope is just a Monday thing
