1.You never mention reaching to vendor, Eric is super easy to work with.

    2. You say its cheap thin metal but you never had mention of that when it first showed up in your possession.

    3. Also this comes with a 1 year warranty.

    4. Humans make the bumper and humans can make errors, I know this is news to you.

    5. Trying to blast a company in a small community is not the way to go. These small businesses have to work so hard to stay open and most really do strive to make us happy.

You can PM a mod and ask for a delete. I wouldn't though. Everyone seems to be keeping it respectful and that allows for real communication. The fact that it failed should be bought to Relentlesses attention. This will certainly do that. lol

But on a serious note, OP address the issue with Relentless Fab, post resolution in here. Use this as a learning experience.

They can or you can edit title if you feel a resolution is acceptable or change it if it goes south or leave it if you want. Not telling you what to do just giving you available options

Op, why not contact the company and talk to them... i bet they'd be interested to know of a defect and how they can make their product better.

I posted this in another thread but feels like it belongs here too. Not saying it's right or wrong, but it is amusing.

@longhairedhippy when are we going wheeling again? More durability testing is required. I know you have a knack for testing these things.Ironically this picture was taken about 10 months before last August:rofl:E3FA4BFB-AA46-4046-9BF6-8146DF48BAC3.jpg

Lol yup, I finally got a bumper! I'm down anytime, always ready to get dirty! I was supposed to be leaving tonight on a trip for a week with some buddies but they had to leave without me, instead I'm sitting here welding and watching the paint dry.

I am on your side here. You are 100% entitled to your opinion and can write a review and state your experience. I think you could have just worded your complaint better.

I wanted to post an update, I've done a super crap welding job on it and it's back to serviceable condition, at least for the next week. I was able to get in touch with my group and I'm hoping to catch up to them tomorrow.

It's obvious by the general consensus that Relentless is doing a good job and if I am an outlier, I am willing to accept it. I don't really want to go any deeper, as I don't want to smear anyone's name, but the jerry can holder breaking is not my only complaint. It did happen to be literally the last thing I was about to bolt on before heading out when it broke, so there was certainly a lot of emotion there. It sounds like they have a lot of support and I've found people on this forum to be generally correct.

Please flame my welding job all you want, describing me as a "novice" would be generous to say the least.

You were upset and I get it, nothing wrong with admitting it we have all been there. Have a blast on the trip and reach out, maybe it helps a future buyer. Post up some pics while your out there using it.

The new name of this thread is epic. Well done.

Now that cooler heads have prevailed, hopefully Eric at @RelentlessFab can help make this right. By most accounts on here, he is a great dude who does good work.

    @longhairedhippy
Ray, I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Jerry can holder hinge seizing on you. I tend to find things like that don't usually fail from constant use, but rather from sitting long periods which allows for rust to form.
I've been wanting to update the jerry can holder and our swing arm camp tables away from using those weld on hinges as they're a little clumsy and finicky to work with on our end getting them aligned and positioned and for our customers for the maintenance aspect- this thread helps push me to make that update. I'll follow through with an update moving the lids away from those and at that point if you would like one of the updated holders we can get one to you under warranty.
Certainly a bummer for both you and us that a few dollar component failing leads to a thread like this starting which generalizes all of our products as being poor quality when only a small component was the root issue. I know how frustrating coming across something like that could be in the middle of packing for a trip, hopefully you still went on to enjoy your weekend and had a great time. Please send us an email and we'll be happy to get you set up with a replacement
    -Eric
