What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I’ve had the OBD fusion app and Carista and finally started trying out its features and customizing dashboards.

Easy day today ….Modified my boot ring cover to fit with my new Teton Workshop knob. I am now completely and happily chrome free on the interior. Well, except for those pesky seat belt clips lol.

 

Canadian Pros don't come with the hood decal so I added one.

Also, my wife decided to hit her side mirror on her RAV4 while backing out of the garage. Popped the plastics partially off on the top and bottom. While taking it apart I noticed a mud dauber nest. Very strange.

 

Those daubers are sneaky

 

I didn't get any at the time, but I had everything a part for a different project. I ended up heat forming some scrap pieces and then working them into that spot in between the bed and cab, under the vents. All that aside, I think other people's suggestions of just getting a pool noodle up there makes a lot more sense, would be easier, and do a better job. So I ordered a pool noodle to see how much of a difference it makes.

Yes. Easier to start from the passenger side and shove it to the driver's side over the gas tank. Depending on the thickness of the noddle, you might have to cut a little, which is easy. Finally, I pulled the ends down a bit so that water runs off to the sides.

 

My issue is going to be that I have armor running the length under there. If I can't easily get around that, I may wait a few weeks until I'm in Arizona and its not 20 degrees outside when I'm laying on the concrete.

Installed bed light but in the process of removing the tail lights I hear a pop as I pull one of the screws out, find that the tab the screw goes into just shattered, so not only did I install the Led bed lights now I have a new set of Meso custom tail lights.

 

Nice lights!!

 

Just got a TRD shift knobb and love it. Actually a way different grip and feel.

Got my new seat covers today. Ripped the skin around my finger nails getting them put on and the straps pushed through the seat cushions. But all in all- extremely happy with the results. Black wouldve been a better match, but I went with brown to mask the carpet of dog hair that accumulates after 1 day. Super soft and I can still feel the heated seat through the material.

There are quite a few OEM options. Are the ones you have the plastic coated or the rino-liner type? TIA
