I think windows 10 is having a moment. I have an audio interface that worked great for years, and now its got all kinds of crackles and stuff in it under windows, like the sample rate is messed up. I updated the firmware, updated the utility for it - no dice.

Works perfectly out of the box when I plug it it in under linux. Go figure.

That means it'll be broken inside Windows 11 as well they use the same framework 100%. Wonder if it was a security update that's stealing overhead or interrupting a buffer

Greeeat. Its been flakey with other USB stuff too, so I wonder if some low level driver is messed up. That would explain a lot. Or maybe it just doesn't like this docking station. Or maybe my desk is the wrong color. Or maybe it knows how much I hate it.

Now that you mention it, my photo editing PC at home has been randomly restarting on its own too, it relies on a USB-C docking station for most of its IO.

Hmm, I've always associated random restarts with memory or power issues. But, USB-C is a whole new animal, especially if you're dealing with thunderbolt.

Saw that earlier. The next year is going to be filled with some fun headlines like that. Companies are going to try all sorts of shit now.

Change your last name to .ai and see if they keep you on as an independent contractor?

Don't worry, they'll still need someone to photoshop out the extra fingers, thumbs and eyes.

    For a little while, anyway.

Only one I'll leave 24/7 is Photoshop. Everything else ends up being weird.
(Though I won't leave big files open. Also my Adobe stuff isnt on Windows)

She's African-American in this other dress though?

Crypto.com bought the Staples Center here in LA last year (or the year before?)....right before the huge crypto crash happened. Was kind of funny but its still named that, kind of expecting it will be sold again to another company though in due time

tbh I will be so relieved to not have to do these castings anymore, I hate it so much

But I bet you if this AI thing takes off with the commercial industry, people will start to turn against it for not representing "real life" people and they'll want real models again. I can definitely see that happening

Unless we begin to rely on it for daily activities and it slowly influences our thoughts to make us more amenable to its takeover.... *puts on tinfoil hat*

Kind of how like there was the big anti-photoshop movement that is still going on, the funny thing is though we still use photoshop just as much, but to make them look "more natural"
