I think he was referring to the vehicle lifetime:notsure:
And I've never paid more than $80 to fill the taco so I think you can make that closer to 14+15 years  which will be right about when I'm looking for my next truck - with whatever power source we end up with:cool:

yup. I bought a used 2020 Corolla MT with some sort of premium sports package. Here’s the effeminate features that came with it.

    * no handbrake. button press iEbrake
    * iEbrake wouldn’t disengage unless I had my seatbelt on. Basically the car was locked out.
    * check engine light came on disabling all electronic assistance. I didn’t know if the eBrake would work.
*driving through San Francisco was one of the most terrifying driving experiences I’ve ever had. Using the iEbrake was one of the most counterintuitive technologies that nobody asked for.
*a loud, rattling engine that sounds terrible and I really hated every minute of it
    *terrible power and engine feel
    *sloppy steering
*automatic rev matching that I could thankfully turn off.
    *cheap feel
*Made in Japan feels like it was made in Flint MI

If you’re expecting a real driving experience with a GR Corolla, good luck. You’re just getting all the above non-sense except you’ll have a 3 cyl overstressed engine that’s waiting to explode.

Hard to believe Toyota is messing around with these teaser images that seem to have actually been taken in Brazil? Juvenile stuff but all in good fun I suppose.

Good news, the GR Corolla has a regular handbrake and a different engine with lots of power.

It's still going to feel cheap though, it's a Corolla.

You think old Corollas didn't feel cheap?

I remember when Ford came out with the ST then the RS and every comment was who would pay $38,000 for a Focus. Well here we are 5-7 years later and those RS Foci(?) are still worth $33,000-40,000. I see the GR being the same.

This thread has decent Gen4 scoops but you pay for the info by sifting through some deep piles of troll droppings. Let me grab my shovel…
