Looking at what extremeterrain has listed for this kit. It shows it fits 2nd gen tacomas, 4x4 and prerunners. Its one of things Mark mentioned when I was at Eibach that some sites are marketing them for 2nd gen trucks when they're meant more for the 3rd gens and for 4x4s mainly.

I was changing over my winters to my allseasons today. I noticed something while inspecting for issues.... 20230315_110124.jpg

The sway bar with the relocation bracket is selfclearancing itself against the crossmember support brackets. This might be the sway bar noise I experience going over speed bumps. I might have to remove my swaybar and see it this is the drop out hammering also but since I tried that once before, I am doubtful.

All lighting are led, wheels, tires, 5100 lift, pro grill, bed light, seat covers, door sill protectors.

I've removed my sway bar and the relocation bracket. Issue is still there

I too have this issue, and I’m not buying the “too light for the suspension” reasoning. I’m a 3rd gen 4x4 with a steel bumper and winch and steel skids. Mine clunks over almost every bump like an old jaloppy. Fingers crossed they find something.

So these are not 3Gen 2wd applicable due to lighter front end?

It has to be a bad batch or something similar. I have a 3rd gen with RCI steel front bumper with full hoops and full steel under armor (front skid is TRD aluminum) and steel sliders. Lots of front end weight. I don't get any bumps or thuds and go 4-wheeling a lot. Perhaps I was just lucky? I ordered mine direct from Eibach on their website, if that matters.

    EDIT: also using factory UCA.

Just installed mine. No clunking noise.

Ran it with oem uca for about 1 week before upgrading to dirtking.

Did the alignment and everything is smooth and good.

Curious how high you guys went up front -

I installed this kit on a 23 TRD Sport DC V6 4WD - It did not require the relocation kit for whatever reason (Had to remove it and was perfect after that) _ had just a little taco lean and fixed it with this kit and I don't have the measurement from hub bore to bottom of fender well on hand but have ground to bottom of fender well measurement in my head - I went from 35.5" to 37.25" and it rides perfect. I do have the Icon RXT stage 2 in the rear and it's at 39" and the rake is barely noticeable.

Just curious how high you guys are going - I still have OEM UCA's and my alignment went into spec except for Caster which is out about 1 degree which is fine imo for now. SPC or JBA may be next purchase just to get my OCD in check - Send recommendations on UCA's to get my alignment all the way in spec.

Truck isnt loaded down ATM but does have an ARE topper FYI

Have had this installed for like 6 months now, probably 9k miles. Stock UCAs, I feel like its pretty touchy as far as steering response goes. How do you guys figure out which UCA you would put to feel more planted while driving?

Use your alignment printout sheet..... Sounds like your caster is out a bit if youre experience that or any bump steer. Mine is out 1 degree and is fine at all speeds, It all depends on how high you went with your kit and whats out.... camber toe caster.... If its just caster I think most AM UCA's will address that.

I just gave you a starting point, an alignment guru will help more.... but with this kit I am guessing max height you went was 2.5" I went 1.75" and everything came into spec except my caster is out a tad which in my opinion is fine, camber and toe in spec means your tires will wear as they should. I am waiting on Recommendations as well on UCA's

Its applicable to all 3rd gen models based on their website. 2nd gens, only 4x4.

I am running SPC on my truck (07 tacoma). I might be the only 2nd gen in this group though.

Is this list generally for only 3rd gens or would any generation be applicable?

**I feel at times like this was all a buyers mistake on my end since this suspension applies more to the 3rd gen market but glad I came across this thread or who knows what I would've done. Glad its getting some traction though.

I think if you have the clunk or don't it would probably be applicable. At least from Eibach's diagnostic perspective.

Like to add I did no adjustment to the coils. Was installed how it came from Eibach. Sway Bar spacer was installed too.
