Most of the time I am giving away parts so doesn't matter. I like to think of it goes around it'll come around.

Honestly most are pretty chill. I have only refunded one person for a door handle in the last 6 years that have been selling used truck parts. And that was because it broke two days after he installed it. Most everybody's pretty cool. The trick is ship things out as fast as possible and send them the tracking number right away. Also don't sell them garbage.

seems like the USPS hasn't been on top of updating tracking info especially when stuff initially ships out, which ends up hurting the vendor's rep even though it's out of their hands

I've had a few things delivered in the last year or so where the tracking info never made it past "label created" and then it suddenly shows up delivered

This is 100% correct. What I do to counter that is I take a picture of the label with the tracking on the package at the post office and send that to the person who purchased it. That way they know its out of my hands.

    Yep, I do the same.

I do a little extra and always put clear tape over the names and addresses.

This way if it ever gets wet or stabbed, you can always see it.

Yes I know labels are attached, but sometimes the corners aren't pressed down and those labels can come off easily. USPS doesn't care.

I even put packing tape on corners when I mail stuff, something my mom always did because she said the boxes get torn when the corners get hung up....for some reason that got cemented in the OCD part of my brain ever since

but I hope to never get into the retail business, the only other industry I can think of as being worse is the food industry as far as dealing with general public goes.

Whatever happened to that rust free 1st gen frame that @Sperrunner was trying to get rid of for the longest time, did he finally take an angle grinder to it and put it in recycling?

It’s sitting in the shop yard unless the landlord had it towed and scrapped already
