Just put some Hilux badges on it and call it a diesel. It works for the Lexus/ Land Cruiser guys. :)

I think you're confused or not understanding my first post. All Tacomas are SR5's with packages bolted on, I was hoping the Pro had a better engine to set itself apart that's all.

Can't deny that. They are all 27k trucks at their core. But some have a lot of shit bolted on making them much nicer than that.

No doubt. But the next gen should take it even further.

Having an engine option would finally make the pro more worthwhile. Hard to justify a third gen pro when you can bolt on all the upgrades to a base model. You can even give your truck nicer shocks than the ones that come on the pro with the price difference between the two. That’s what I did at least.

Looks good when built to the heavens like all those pics. In stock form they are less appealing. 4 runners look better.

mine is closer to stock in appearance. I still like it. It’s not perfect.

I need armor and 35s because 33s and no armor is becoming a big hurdle with my current setup, and I don’t daily drive this so there is no excuse really.

I like it better than my previous junk truckD939B83F-EC48-4377-9274-0D8A6F1134FB.jpg

I was wondering the same thing. Not joking I think they are to keep pedestrian heads from getting caught in between the arch and tire.

    A few.
I honestly hope Toyota knocks it out if the park with the 2024 Tacoma. The 3rd Gen is a good truck overall but has a few quirks and shortcomings it really shouldnt have.

Some people are down on the 4 cylinder turbo lifespan. People are getting 200k miles out of Ford Ecoboosts before replacement is neccesary. Shouldnt Toyota get at least that? The average driver puts 15k miles a year on a vehicle. Thats 15 yrs worth of service. Isnt that enough? If manfacturers made vehicles that all lastest 1 million miles they would go out of business.

I do think warranty coverage should be increased to 5yr/60k miles bumper to bumper and 10yr/100k miles powertrain for the price that there selling for now.
