Any Regrets Mounting Electrical to the Fuse/Relay Cover?

Question for those of you who have mounted devices to the stock relay/fuse box cover: do you have any regrets doing this? I am considering mounting the m-LVD feeding the aux panel and the ON/OFF switch for the winch to the fuse / relay box cover and have seen others use this method (@Manwithoutaplan example, @12thmanhawkfan example, + there are others).

I'm looking for compelling reasons not to mount them here; I am pretty sure the stock fuse/relay block will be the most efficient use of space for these two, bulky pieces of gear. What say you?

 

why not get a nice panel to mount it all to?

 

Space is an issue. I have an overland engineering panel with the breaker and an aux fuse panel and room for the m-LVD rocker switch and space for the relays but not the big, bulky switch and m-LVD box. I have seen custom battery boxes where people have mounted accessories to the front of the custom battery box setup since there is space between the battery and the driver's headlight.

 

No regrets. There is enough wire coming into and going out of that main fuse to where I can still remove the cover to the stock fuse box and address things if need be.

 

I would say it is nice spot but a pain in the ass to get your fuses .

 

Would this fit an Auxbeam Switch Panel Relay Control Box and a Circuit Breaker? Does this fit a 2005?
