    Hello all,

I’m just retiring from the Navy and headed to Tucson in April. I am picking up a new 2022 TRD Off-Road MT before heading that way. Looking forward to the build and all that AZ has to offer off roading! Last taco I owned was a 2001 MT 20 years ago!

Thanks for your service. You lifers are a different breed. 20+ years is a lot of BS to deal with, especially what you as a service branch have had to deal with in recent years.

Stoked for you to be in a place where you can put that OR to use. Plenty of public land in your state. Enjoy and post pics.

Thank you, it was my pleasure to serve. The Navy gave me more opportunities and perspective in life than I could ever repay! I’m looking forward to AZ!

And remember the VA claims process! Hopefully you have that all squared away and have a claims rep as after 27 years of wear and tear on your body, you will have something to claim.

Yeah, we will arrive in about three weeks coming from Italy. I have to go to San Diego to out-process and then we will be right over!

Heading there for work or pleasure? I'm going to work at Raytheon, eat tacos, hit the trails and play golf.

I just got out in 21', but the wife still has a couple more years and is getting stationed there. Luckily for me I work remotely these days, so my job is just coming with me. I don't play golf, but I am looking forward to the tacos and trails!

This book may be considered just a sanitized/tame list of off-road riding trails, but I can tell you even the "green" (of green/blue/red) are not exactly flat. And these are just the 100 the authors felt work documenting. I found a working/official road that was not easy and even had cows. Yes, cows are allowed to roam free on county/private land (some wheeling routes cross private land). And even without cows several hiking trailheads in AZ are accessible only on "primitive" roads. Some trails are inaccessible (mostly) during monsoon season.

I know monsoon rains wash out roads, cows, boulder crawling ... YAWN ...

Check out the book if you want.

If you want to know where the cows were, just put @ before RichochetRabbit when you are ready to search around Woolsey Peak.

Thats awesome. Too late to order before I leave here, but I will pick it up as soon as I get into Tucson. Thanks again.

Toyota dealerships here can have it (a local one for me does). Off-road stores have it on the shelf usually, and a motorcycle/ATV store near me has it.

Even better. Gives me an excuse to go find some off-road stores so I can start signing over my paycheck
