    It’s 2023. 37’s are the new 285’s. You need 40’s now.

But on a serious note. I ran 35’s with a 2.5” lift. I had to do the usual CMC and hammer the pinch weld along with fender trimming.

If you only street drive it you could probably get away with a 2.5 and the above and not cut the fenders. The lift will clear the tires okay. You’ll just have to deal with rubbing.

I'm on 285s. Love the look and ride plus its easier to get into when your in your 50s. My Toyota's in the day had 35 BFGs on a suspension and body lifts. Had single cabs and xtrcabs in the 80s and 90s. Man that looked great in the day, lifted beyond belief, tinted windows, sitting inside a raised truck with your girlftiend at the local hangout spot and the top of people's head were at the bottom of the window frame, the good old days!

I run 35x12.5r17's and average ~18.3 MPG, not 12 like someone else stated, lmao.

No, in my 2013 Tacoma that's also lifted 6 inches. If I got below 15 MPG by putting 35's on I wouldn't be in a Tacoma, I would be in a full size like an F150.

I don't have any armor / additional weight and It's a second gen so also the 4.0 instead of 3.5 that has alot more low down torque so maybe that makes a difference? IDK?

So you don’t do any mods whatsoever because they look good? If so you are in the minority of car enthusiasts.

    OP,

For those of us that want to help do us a favor and consolidate both of your threads asking about two different tire sizes into one. If we can answer your questions about 35’s we can answer your questions about 285’s. No sense to have two posts asking the same questions of the same people. Just saying.

    None yet.
It's gonna suck but I'm prepared for them 33's (also yeah I decided on 33's after all after what that guy said on being new to everything, seems like the more logical thing to do anyway)

P.S. Ima need some suspension recommendations because I still don't know anything :taco::taco:

There's some very good threads on different lifts. You'll learn a lot more researching and drawing your own conclusion. ;)
