Mine came with one. I like your "bush mechanic" workaround though. Anyone can do the job with the "right tools", a real mechanic knows how to get creative.

 

That job went to shit. Both hubs were stuck. Damaged both wheel speed sensors.

 

Some good news. The bracket is done.

 

Just got home from a successful trip with the family to Great Wolf Lodge. Back to reality.

 

My understanding is they're building one in CT near the casinos?

 

Yea, Foxwoods I believe. Its supposed to be pretty big from what I heard.

We went up to the one in Fitchburg. I think there is one around the Poconos too- we want to check that one out too.

Kids absolutely love it. Indoor water park, arcade, mini golf, climbing wall. Little Michael made his way all the way up a 25 foot climbing wall. He could only get a quarter of the way up the first day, and just kept going at it. Such a determined kid.

 

Test fit the bracket when I got home. Perfect fit. I have to add a piece of foam to the top of the GPS antenna so It doesn't rattle against the dash.

 

Tore the struts out for the second time in 3 days, moved the perch up one notch, now the front has the 2 inches of lift I was looking for. Alignment Thursday then I'm done until these 265/70's wear out and I can put 285's on. Unless someone makes me a good offer on these then I'll do it sooner. LOL! Might put the nerf bars back on if my wife has trouble getting in.

Now that I'm...older...I have been getting weird age related routine medical tests I never knew existed. This morning I had a CAT scan to measure the diameter of my aorta. I suppose a scan is better than using calipers...or an inside micrometer.

 

I hate service writers who diagnose cars.

 

Ha! Do you think that comes from the customer saying, "I saw on the internet, it's probably the....."

I've heard that many times bringing my truck in for service at the dealer.

 

They said the car I’m working on just needs a brake flush. That’s one issue with the brakes, there are more.

I used to hate when they did that. They're literally setting themselves up for an angry customer.

 

When it needs a master cylinder, I’m going to be the bad guy.

Yep. Needs a master cylinder.

 

LOL. I'm gonna roll the dice and say someone recently did the brakes and killed the seal on the master when they were pumping them up.
