    My condolences on your loss.

I can't say I knew him or even the GLMC organization. I just stumbled across it on Ridemaster.com looking for upcoming events, rallies, Grand Tours, or events like this that I enjoy participating in. The theme was right up my alley. Go riding, look for cool stuff, and take pictures of it. Once I signed up and started doing some simple Google searches I found I'm in a prime area for this event. It appears the past several events have had the same winner and judging by their scores in past events compared to other participants I might have my work cut out for me. Seeing this post from you sort of really makes me want to do well now more than ever.

Absolutely! I'm thinking more on the lines of a Philly outskirts trip though. Bike has to be in all photos and sometimes that means some precarious parking on my part. I'm thinking by staying outside city proper there should still be plenty of opportunity without risking life and limb!

In the meantime you can feel free to start making notes on locations.......

Makes sense, some in the city could be tricky. I can help take the pics too. Will start thinking about locations and routes. This map is helpful, so many out there...

That sounds like a cool riding project. I’ll have to look into it around here. Best of luck in the contest and ride safe, Chuck!

Just rode 30+ miles home in some crazy wind and rain. The rain was coming down so hard I couldn't crack the visor without getting eyes full of water. On top of that the wind was pushing me around everywhere. My gear did a good job of keeping me dry, though. Full Aerostich suit + Bilt over suit kept my body dry and the Icon Stormhawk boots didn't let any water in, though they got water logged.

I'm letting the Versys dry off before I go sticker bomb the side cases with the stickers @spencermarkd sent me. :D

I plan to go with Forma Adventure boots. The tall boots are right at $300 and the shorts are $40-$50 less. All the reviews are pretty solid, and they don't look terrible.

Go to revzilla or rockymountainatvmc and look them up. They have sizing charts that translate the euro sizes.

Helpful? Really do appreciate it but that's a huge rabbit hole to explore right there! Thankfully you can filter to only shoe exterior installations and only murals. Sadly some of what they show have already been torn down and no longer exist. I'm having multiple browser windows open to verify stuff before adding it to Basecamp. I've already spent quite a bit of time looking for murals that simply are no longer there on this event. Currently I'm sticking with stuff close to Delasandro's since I'm still hoping to make the cheesesteak event next month.

I have off next Friday for Good Friday so I might sneak down that way and hit other areas if the weather is nice.

That's because it's the mural capital of the world!

There are a few in the Manayunk/Roxborough area that you could get not far from Dalessandros so that's a good plan. I was hoping to make the cheesesteak meet but going to see Supercross on the 22nd:bikewhoops:

Let me know if you end up coming out...don't think I can take off work next Friday but will be around. Would be down to ride Sat or Sun though

Seeing as Sunday is Easter I don't think I'm likely to be able to make a full day of it that day. Will keep an eye on the weather forecast and consider Saturday. Where is the Supercross event on the 22nd? That should be a good time.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am putting my 2015 KTM Adventure 1190r up for sale if anyone is looking for a big twin dual sport. This bike can do it all, and it’s a lot of bike for the money with low miles.
Comes with GPS, Tank Bag, new battery, tires are 1 season old and don’t have rash or chunks.

    PM me if interested.

    Price $9k
    Mileage ~ 5k
    Location Western NC

Sounds good Chuck. It's up at MetLife stadium in north NJ. I'm very excited to see the racing live in person. That weekend is also the 1 year anniversary since my accident.

That is a nice looking KTM. Are you moving to a different bike or getting out of riding altogether?
