    Well... that's a whole new design and installation. Based on the video it looks like the driver's side shield does not touch the cat at all and may even be adjustable to some extent. It certainly doesn't touch the the passenger side cat (and neither does our V1).

    As mentioned, ours isn't rattling YET, but the driver's side has full contact with the front of the cat. I'm reluctant to remove them, but I also don't want to deal with rattles and/or an overheated cat going forward.

    I'll be interested to hear some feedback from the folks that receive V2. TIA!

    I like it. I am thinking about sending mine back for the new model. I have to see what shipping price will be. I wish they would have sent me the new model as mine was shipped the same day as someone said he was getting shipped the new model. I have access to a lift so I can rip it off and cut it if I am not one off the lucky trucks.

    I reached out to them on 03/24/2023 evening hours (Eastern Standard Time) they replied to me yesterday my order was ready to shipped. Today I received a new email with Fed Ex Tracking number. These will replaced the originals that I purchased back in November 2022. In my humble opinion they are standing behind their product. At no extra cost, I’m not sure if the old ones have to go back but I’m very happy so far with their service. So thank you Cali-Raised for that.

    I reached out to them as well on 3/25. They sent a link for me to send pics to showing the issue. Although, I don't know how they are going to see the "rattle". I'm going to go through that process and hope I have the same outcome as you.

    Thanks for posting and keeping us in the loop.

    @TRDRed I feel like although you don't have the noise, the fact that it is touching the cat could cause problems and at some point you potentially could get some vibration/rattle, you should go for it.

    I did same as you. They asked to filled a form and some photos. After that I received an email that they my ordered was in place and today another email with Fedex tracking number. Mine will be here Friday.

    So, I initially contacted via the chat option on their site. Knowing that it was Saturday and they wouldn't be available, I received a message that they would reach out to me on Monday via email, which they did.

    If I were you, I'd just skip the reaching out via chat or call and use the link. Like you said, you already have the pics and everything you need. So, you should be good to go. I'm submitting mine now since I got pics earlier today.

    I got an "order confirmed" email today from CaliraisedLed this morning. I didn't hear back from the engineering dept. at all, but I'm assuming that they are sending out the newer version to fix the issue.

    I hope so. Mine says Replacement Cat Shield Tacoma x1. No pic of the shield.

    When I click on the "view order" link in their email, it does say replacement on their site. I'm guessing we are both getting a new driver's side updated version.

    I spoke with Cali Raised customer service today and they stated that all Cat Shields that they ship going forward will be v2.

    I placed my order on 3/7 and they thought they might ship next week. Hopefully they are getting up on production as well.

    Good to know. I don't know about you, but on the troubleshooting form there was a question about urgency or an upcoming trip and I answered "no" since I don't have an urgency. I hope it won't be the almost 7 weeks I waited for the first order, but my cats are protected at this point and I can wait.

    Did you say you already received tracking info?

    Sent the request along with photos last night and just received the same replacement email this morning. (No mention about returning the originals.) The image is of the "old" version, but probably doesn't mean much.

    Same here... said "no" to the urgency question. The email also says "Depending on the supplier, the shipping date may vary. It can take a minimum of 2-3 business days for your order to be shipped." Not sure if that means they'll be going out that quickly or not.

    If all goes well I gotta say that's pretty darned good customer service! I'll post back when the shipping confirmation comes through.

    Glad to hear this. I'll do the same when I get shipping info.

    And, yes, I must agree regarding the customer service. I know they've had their issue with communication and shipping times, but they certainly have the integrity to make things right and correct and stand behind their products. I must give them credit and despite being a little jaded on the shipping time and lack of communication, I'd likely not hesitate so much about ordering from them in the future based on how they are handling this.

    Hm. Good to hear Cali Raised is being so responsive.

    I got my shields ~3 weeks ago and probably just missed getting the new/improved version. I have not installed them yet due to ongoing rain storms.

    Hoping I don't have to install them twice ... :playball:
