not sure if i missed it or what but i don’t think the guide in the app for install said anything about leaving the key away from the truck and the door open to put the ecu to “sleep”.

so i installed it with the key near and test drove it with no issues.

should i undo and restart ? i could only find people saying what to do but not what happens if you don’t do it that way.

    thanks !

It's fine. ignition off is all you need.

i ended up calling them just cuz i didn’t want to screw up anything.

they said that’s only to avoid potentially ending up with a dash light on which they’ve seen before. but if you skip the step and have no light that it’s all good.

thanks for responding. i was stressing it

5% tint all around, Raptor grill lights, ProComp 17x8.5 Rockwell wheels, Maxxis 265 / 65 / 17 AT tires, TRD skid plate
The only instructions about the key I found in my PC book said to leave the key away from the truck approximately 30 feet away for 5-10 minutes before disconnecting the trucks pedals connectors. So that the truck doesn't recognize it as a "unplugged connector" which could trigger a CEL.

been driving it around and no lights or issues luckily. things cool.

i have no clue how anyone would use the sport or sport plus settings with lurching every take off.

but cleaned up the lag nice.

Switch it to the super ECO mode and laugh how hard it is to drive. Just don’t do it in traffic.
