Sorry to hear, get over there and get it taken care of. Hopefully they can do something more permanent of a solution?

 

My wife had a 1998 Rav 4, 2WD. It was mechanically sound, only ~130K on the clock, but the interior was trashed and iot had some minor body damage. She can't drive for long distances, so we donated it to a charitable organization before we moved from CA last summer. I had sort of been hoping to get her a current generation 4Runner, but she was concerned it would drive/feel too much like my Tacoma (she hates driving my truck). We went to the local Toyota dealer and she test drove a 4Runner and a Highlander. Obviously the Highlander was a more plush ride, and fancier interior. Toyota switched the Highlander from a V6 to a turbo 4cyl with the 2023 model years, so we ended up with a 2022 V6 model that had just been traded in by someone else, only 10K on the clock. It was $43K.... $47K with all the sales taxes, DMV fees, etc.. I had been searching Toyota dealerships all over KY, TN and OH, and both Highlanders and 4Runners in the year/mileage/price range I was looking at were scarce as an honest politician at election time. We just got extremely lucky that the one we bought was traded in to our local dealer literally the week after we had gone in for the test drive.

Yeah, people are going to believe what they want to believe. I used to have friends who would try to tell me that the pentagon was hit by a missile......when they live in the midwest and I was actually here. I stopped trying to explain anything to them. Too caught up in their own minds and beliefs.
