Hell yeah, brother! There was a nice little batch of MT’s clustered around the bay all at once. Looks like you had a slightly longer trip back than me though!

 

There are a few SO automatic's in the South East listed on Autotrader this morning. That would be a much longer drive than I did (627 miles) back home. I found my SO from searching the spreadsheet linked above and bought it at MSRP Thanksgiving week last year. Good luck in your search.

Thanks Brian. I spent last evening looking through the spreadsheet and reaching out to some dealers. I'm willing to travel...2000 miles may be a stretch, but not out of the question if that's all I can find.

I've got lots of information from everyone here and feeling better equipped to track one down now.

I bought mine from San Francisco Toyota. They said they typically mark up if it's still in allocation/build/transit but this landed on the lot and hadn’t been pre-sold so they were willing to sell at MSRP.

I wonder if solar octane will make it into the 2024 launch.

 

That would make solar octane the first pro exclusive color. I think it might carry over to 2024. I guess we’ll see pretty soon.

 

Anyone know how many SO have been built.....?

 

Anyone in Georgia/Southeast want a SO at MSRP? It's 55,007. I have a deposit down for one coming in a few weeks but my situation has changed. Wanted to throw it out before I let the dealer know.
No required add ons and 449 dealer fee.

 

I kind of hope not. Call me a snob but I like that it’s an exclusive TRD Pro color for Toyota…

I don’t think any pro color has ever remained exclusive. I wonder how to check that out.

If they ever bring back Inferno, I will buy it. I wish they would dump Barcelona.

 

Hopefully they dont offer SO in the new 4th Gen. and I guess even if the color is offered, it'll still remain a TRD Pro exclusive color for 3rd gen owners! haha and I couldn't agree more on the Barcelona

 

I believe they’ve been introducing colors in the Pro line then trickling it down to other trims after a one year exclusive as the Pro color. My assumption was mostly based on the new gen coming so then wanting to offer a diff slew of colors.

Either way, it does appear with the new gen coming that SO will be a Pro exclusive for the 3rd gen.

I have a soft spot for the Barcelona Red. It’d be great to get a green back into the options along with a different blue.

 

FUGLY gets my vote. But at least you won’t need cones

 

It’s going to be interesting to see who is going to jump ship for the new Tacoma Pro. Some have done it for the tundra Pro and regret it. The dealerships will be making a lot of customers unhappy when they say we will give you this much for your Tacoma Pro because the new model is out. Happens with all vehicles.

 

Certainly a lot of mixed emotions on Solar Octane. I’ve Heard it looks totally different in person vs photos but I haven’t been able to get up close in personal with one so I think I’m on the fence. Hopefully I’ll see one in the wild soon to help me with my decision. With that said, everyone certainly entitled to their opinion and much like other Pro colors I’m sure it will be rare and I’m sure produce positive equity which is always inviting. To be continued…
