I'm about to lift my DCLB, full CMC, UCAs, with 285/75/17 KM3s.
I'm almost assuredly going with Nitro 5.29s (will be towing an off road trailer as well as adding front/rear/possibly under as well) with some Methods I already have

For those who already are already running them, is there anything I should know going in?
Any down sides other than a tedious break in period, and high cost?

    TIA

I took the advice of several people on TW and did a Goole search for TW and 5.29 and gearing and.came up with a but load of TW threads, but that somehow wasn't one of them.

I'll definitely give it a thorough look over, thanks!

No real downsides, great performance. I did revolution gears which have been super quiet (5.29s), no regrets there. Nitro is known for whining, though probably some of that is due to the installer. The Rev install kits kind of sucked, missing some shims and gave time the wrong pinion nut. R&P were great though.

I’d recommend ECGS diff bushing and crush sleeve eliminator (solid spacer) kits while you’re at it. I used OEM Koyo bearings and pinion/CV seals from Toyota for best results.

    Absolutely love my gears.

The torque is nice. Got mine prebuilt from ECGS. They whine but that's the burden of going aftermarket
