    they can't see the lines on either side of the car when they get close , they are sitting too low

    They will likely tidy up the rule around whether a jack can touch the car during a time penalty at a pit stop before the race this weekend too

    There was a good breakdown on a youtube video of what happened to Alonso. He did a squirrelly burnout to warm the tires just as he was coming up to his pit box and he never had a chance to line up properly

    During the press conference he said that the extra lines won’t help as they are looking off to the side for the yellow line. Seems as though it should help though but I’m not a F1 driver…

    I was thinking they would do a couple of bare patches in that yellow line that are visible to the driver as a reference, the centre line means they have to line up at least one start box before hand just to see that stripe.

    I meant out bound, possibly mid point on the yellow line. They could reference it for car distance from that gap

    Yet they can drive at 200 mph within mm of another driver diving into corners. They make a lot more money than I do and I can miss rocks in the desert all day long and can't see my front tires at all.

    It was interesting hearing Russell, Gasly, DeVries, Hulk and Sargent all day they don’t need 3 practice sessions in the drivers press conference.

    For comparison F2 only get 30 minutes each weekend.
